The world's need for God, and confidence in Him, has diminished in our day. People often abandon their faith when tragedy strikes. If God has the power to prevent such things, why doesn't He? This leads some to question His existence or that He cares for us. The Prophet Isaiah wrote, "Truly, you are a God who hides himself" (Isa. 45:15). But why would He hide Himself from us?
