Daniel prophesied of three periods of time - 1260, 1290 and 1335 “days,” or “years.” (Daniel 12:11-12) In the book of Revelation we find a direct focus on Daniel’s important prophecy. The 1260 “days” refers back to the prophet Elijah’s announcement of drought to wicked king Ahab, the husband of Jezebel. The 1260 years were a period of great trial for the church.
Together we will examine the harmony of the scriptures on this subject and the confusion arising from alternate interpretations for the 1260 “days” in popular but error-filled Christian writings in the bookstores. The end of the 1290 “days” were a time for the growth of Bible Societies spreading the Gospel throughout the earth. It was a time of “cleansing” from many of the “Dark Age” errors that kept the Christians in bondage. Even more wonderful is what follows the end of the 1335 “days.” Then the Lord promises both that those who love Him will be specially “blessed” and that he will “shake” all nations that the “desire of all nations” might come (Haggai 2:7). Wiley Satan and his many allies will not let Christ take control without a struggle.
