The booklet begins by establishing that Israel is not just another nation among many—it is central to God's redemptive plan for humanity. From the time of Abraham, God made irrevocable promises to the Jewish people concerning their land, descendants, and their role in blessing all nations (Genesis 12:2–3). Despite centuries of scattering, persecution, and exile, the Jewish people’s continued existence and re-establishment in the land of Israel in 1948 are viewed as remarkable fulfillments of prophecy. The booklet emphasizes that these developments are not political accidents but divinely orchestrated milestones in a plan that will culminate during the end times.

The Rebirth of Israel and Its Prophetic Significance

Israel’s national rebirth is a modern miracle and a direct fulfillment of Ezekiel’s vision of dry bones (Ezekiel 37). After centuries of diaspora, the Jewish people returned to their ancestral homeland, fulfilling biblical predictions of restoration. Their physical regathering precedes a future spiritual awakening, wherein Israel will come to recognize Jesus as the Messiah. This two-phase restoration—first a physical gathering, then a spiritual recognition of Christ—is essential to the culmination of God's plan, leading toward universal peace and righteousness in Christ’s Kingdom.

Israel and the Coming Time of Trouble

While Israel’s survival is assured in the long run, it is clear that the nation will undergo an immense struggle during the end times. Drawing from prophecies in Jeremiah 30:7 (“the time of Jacob’s trouble”) and Zechariah 14, Israel will face a final period of intense conflict and siege. This period is characterized by global turmoil, wars, and attacks on Jerusalem, symbolizing the climactic struggle between God’s plan and worldly opposition. However, even amid such devastation, God will preserve a faithful remnant and intervene on Israel’s behalf.

The Role of the Nations and the United Nations

The nations of the world—often represented by political powers such as the United Nations—will oppose Israel. The nations will be drawn against Jerusalem in the final conflict, but their actions will bring about their own judgment. Joel 3 and Zechariah 12, depict a scenario where the nations attempt to divide the land and undermine Israel’s sovereignty. This international pressure will not be a solution to the conflict, but rather as fulfillment of prophecy that sets the stage for divine intervention.

Divine Protection and Deliverance

Despite the severity of Israel’s trials, God will protect Israel and ensure its survival. Divine deliverance will come at the moment of greatest danger, when the world seems poised to destroy the Jewish people. According to Zechariah 14:3, the Lord will “go forth and fight against those nations.” The Messiah will bring about Israel’s salvation, not through military might, but through divine power. The surviving remnant of Israel will then enter into a new covenant relationship with God.

Israel’s Recognition of the Messiah

A major prophetic turning point will be Israel’s eventual recognition of Jesus as the Messiah. Zechariah 12:10 shows that the people will mourn for “him whom they have pierced” as their eyes are opened to the truth of Christ. This national repentance and spiritual transformation will usher in an era of righteousness and peace, as foretold by the prophets. The Jewish nation, long partly blinded (Romans 11:25), will finally fulfill its destiny and bless all families of the earth.

Israel’s Future Role in God’s Kingdom

After Israel’s deliverance and spiritual awakening, the nation will serve a key role in Christ’s earthly Kingdom. As representatives of God, the Jewish people will help guide the rest of the world into obedience and blessing. Isaiah 2:2–4 and Micah 4 describe a world where nations stream to Jerusalem for instruction, and weapons are turned into tools of peace. Israel will no longer be a byword or a target but will be exalted as the channel of divine instruction.

The Survival of Israel Is Certain

Israel’s survival through the end times is guaranteed by divine promise, not human effort. Though battered and tested, the nation will emerge as the centerpiece of God's Kingdom on earth. The horrors of war and tribulation will give way to peace and restoration, as the promises made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob will be fully realized. This survival is not for Israel’s sake alone, but for the ultimate blessing of all nations in God’s appointed time.

Final Thoughts

The biblical narrative presents compelling evidence in which Israel’s past, present, and future are deeply intertwined with the fulfillment of God’s redemptive plan. Although Israel will face dark trials in the end times, these events serve a divine purpose leading to national repentance, global enlightenment, and the establishment of Christ’s Kingdom. Far from being destroyed, Israel will survive and thrive as the chosen vessel through which God’s glory will fill the earth.
