The trouble in the world seems to be gathering momentum. Television, radio and newspapers fill our minds almost daily with catastrophic events happening throughout the world. The world is being plagued with terrorist attacks. Wars are fought not against conventional armies, but suicide terrorists. Who can forget the tragic collapse of the Twin Towers on 9/11 when thousands of innocent people lost their lives because of a handful of terrorists?
Nations are worried that terrorists or radical governments might acquire a nuclear weapon to destroy their enemies in a nuclear holocaust. Earthquakes are increasing at an alarming rate all around the world. These, in turn, have produced heart-wrenching scenes of Tsunamis wiping away entire cities and tens of thousands of lives. Throughout the World, people subjected to poverty with their rights oppressed, rise up in revolt against corrupt leaders and governments. In these catastrophic events and increasing threats, media news anchors use the term “Armageddon” ever more frequently. People wonder if all this trouble indicates that we are approaching the “Armageddon” of the Book of Revelation.
