Rosh Ha Shana

לְמַֽעַן־אַחַ֥י וְרֵעָ֑י אֲדַבְּרָה־נָּ֖א שָׁל֣וֹם בָּֽךְ

Dear “Brethren and Companions”
Every day, month, and year is a proper time to reflect on the blessings and the City, which He has chosen as His dwelling place. This year is particularly special since we have multiple 70-year anniversaries. First, that of a smart decision of nations, united enough to side with God’s righteous cause of bringing the State of Israel back to life, after thousands of years in exile and dispersion of its citizens. Then, on April 29, 2018, (4 Iyyar 5779) we will celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the memorable words uttered by David Ben-Gurion: MiToch Bitachon B'Tzur Yisrael hinenu chotmim bachatimat yadenu l’edut al-hakeraza zo… (“Placing our trust in the “Rock of Israel,” we affix our signatures to this proclamation...”)
On this occasion, we join with all who desire to celebrate these anniversaries with special wishes for God’s favor. Our desire is for God to fulfill the promise given to Father Abraham when He said, “In thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed” (Genesis 12:3). What an amazing prospect lies ahead, not only for Israel, but for the nations of the world. This promise was echoed by the mouth of Moses, David, and all the holy prophets. May this year of remembering God’s recognition for His be an occasion to give thanks to the Eternal for His faithfulness and , and to pray that the faith of all His daughters and sons would not cease as they await further manifestations of His love and favor for Israel and the world.
Placing our trust in the “Rock of Israel” we, too, affix our signature with awe and praise to Him who is faithful to fulfill His promise for the peace of Jerusalem.
