In the Book of Daniel God gave us additional signs to know where we are on the stream of time. Daniel 12:1: “At that time shall Michael stand up…and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time.” We again see reference to a great time of trouble like never before. But note what comes immediately after the trouble. “At that time thy people shall be delivered, Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake” (Daniel 12:2, NIV). Here we see another prophetic indication that following the trouble of Armageddon the resurrection of the dead will begin!

Then, in Daniel 12:4 God gives us two more signs to help identify when this time of trouble would be that would precede the King- dom. God tells the prophet Daniel that it was not going to be in his day, but in “the time of the end.” He says, “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”
