Newsletter: Christians in a Tumultuous World
In all of the uncertainties of life it is only natural to feel apprehensive, perhaps even fearful, about the future. Staying abreast with current events, the state of our economy, the stock market, trends in the media and culture, reinforces those feelings. We read of conflicts between nations and between ethnicities, conflicts between races for real and perceived injustices, and conflicts and atrocities between religious ideologies. Yet, as believers and followers of Christ we are told to be at peace. Jesus said, “Do not let your heart be troubled…” (John 14:1), and again, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful” (John 14:27). But how can one find peace?

Free Booklet Offer: Hope for a Fear-Filled World.
There is a glorious hope which can now be held out to the people of a distressed and fear-filled world. It is a glorious hope, and in proclaiming it we are following the suggestion of the prophet when he wrote, “Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you.”—Isa. 35:4 One of the descriptive names given to our day in prophecy is the Day of Vengeance. It is a time when God’s righteous anger is being manifested in the overthrow of age-old systems and institutions of sin and oppression. While fear and distress are experienced by the people as a result of the uprooting of this present evil world, the ultimate purpose of God is to save the people from sin and death through the establishment of Christ’s kingdom. Hence we can say to the world today, to this fear-filled world, “Fear not,” for divine intervention in the affairs of men will soon bring peace and health.

Sermon: After Armageddon, God's Kingdom
The trouble in the world seems to be gathering momentum. Television, radio and newspapers fill our minds almost daily with catastrophic events happening throughout the world. The world is being plagued with terrorist attacks. Wars are fought not against conventional armies, but suicide terrorists. Who can forget the tragic collapse of the Twin Towers on 9/11 when thousands of innocent people lost their lives because of a handful of terrorists? Nations are worried that terrorists or radical governments might acquire a nuclear weapon to destroy their enemies in a nuclear holocaust.
